Cutting plane est un terme cinématographique qui désigne la technique d’insertion d’un plan bref évoquant l’action principale sans la montrer. Le plan de coupe est aussi une représentation graphique d’une construction.
Suite aux événements du 11 mars 2011 qui ont touchés de plein fouet le Japon, j’ai commencé une collecte d’image sur internet et plus particulièrement de ciels extraits de différents Manga animés. Avec l’aide du Center for Engineering Strong Motion Data - CESMD, je me suis procuré le relevé des stations de surveillance ayant enregistré le séisme de Tohoku le 11 mars 2011 à 5h46 UTC.
Le titre de chaque compositions empreinte le nom du lieu où se trouvait la station sismique ayant réalisé les relevés utilisés. J’ai alors ajouté une forme de densité à l’image en reprenant les enregistrements du séisme, qui s’étendent sur une temporalité de 300 secondes.

The title of each print the name of the compositions whereabouts seismic station having made the statements used. I then added a form of density to the image containing the records of the earthquake, which extend over a time frame of 300 seconds.
