Monade, du grec monas, signifie « unité » . Dans son concept, une monade est un tout avec sa propre intériorité, mais on ne peut y accéder ou en sortir. Les communautés fermées naissent de façon exponentielle en Amérique Latine et si ce phénomène touche toutes les parties du globe, ici ou ailleurs, ce stigmate d’une société qui creuse les écarts est érigé en nouvelle manière de penser la ville.
Ce projet a pour « théâtre des activités » une communauté fermée appelée Nordelta dans le nord-est de Buenos Aires en Argentine et le monde extérieur qui par essence l’entoure. Ici le cinéma est le vecteur de cette traversé impossible, la caméra, le moyen par lequel nous passons les frontières. Les personnages sont nos guides, leurs pas et leurs actions font exister ce territoire. Le film est projeté en boucle, une représentation du mouvement général du monde, un cycle qui n’en finit pas de se reproduire.
Ce projet est né de la volonté d’installer le cinéma dans le champ de l’exposition. Le spectateur fait alors l’expérience d’une immersion dans ce désert du réel, en devenant lui-même le créateur d’associations image/son. « monade » est le résultat d’une coopération avec l'équipe MINT. Le laboratoire a ainsi développé un algorithme qui permet au coeur de l’installation d'analyser le geste des spectateurs puis de l'interpréter afin qu’il dirige le déploiement spatial du son.

The gated communities are born in a exponential way in Latin America and if this phenomenon touches all the parts of the globe, here or somewhere else, this stigma of a society which digs the distances is set up as new way of thought the city. This project take place in a closed community called Nordelta in the northeast of Buenos Aires, Argentina and the outside world which surrounds it. Here the cinema is the vector of this impossible cross, the camera, the means by which we go threw the borders. The characters are our guides, their steps and their actions make this territory exist. The movie, looped, is in the style of the ring of Moebius, a representation of the general movement of the world, a cycle which does not stop reproducing. This project is born from the will to install the cinema in the field of the exhibition. The spectator then experiences an immersion in this desert of the reality, by becoming himself the creator of associations image / sound. "Monad" is the result of a cooperation with the team MINT. The laboratory so developed an algorithm which allows the heart of the installation to analyze the gesture of the spectators then to interpret it so that he manages the spatial deployment of the sound.
